The Tokyo Marui MTR16 stands for Multi Tactical Rifle. The MTR16 represents the latest in design from TM, breaking away from their traditional "military" or "standard issue" style G.I. rifles. Sporting modern accessories such as an M-LOK compatible rail system, slightly more vertical angular grip, and minimalistic design stock the MTR16 is more akin to what is usually seen on civilian AR15s. As a final touch, the gun's upper and lower receivers are cerakoted giving it added scratch resistance and durability. The MTR16 uses the Tokyo Marui ZET System as seen in the MWS line of GBBRs. Essentially the ZET system offers more gas efficiency with less wear and tear due to its unique BCG (Bolt Carrier Group) design using roller wheels.
