About Real Daniel Defense M4A1 RISIII Rifle The Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS III is a semi-automatic AR-15-style rifle in 5.56 NATO, featuring the RIS III (Rail Interface System III) handguard, a lightweight, free-floating aluminum rail based on the SOCOM-developed RIS II. Upgraded with M-LOK attachment points, it supports accessories and reduces weight. The rifle has a fully ambidextrous lower receiver and a GRIP-N-RIP charging handle for versatile handling. It sports a 14.5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with a mid-length gas system and a pinned flash suppressor for a legal 16-inch length. The chrome-lined barrel, with a 1:7 twist, is rigorously tested for durability. Built with 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, it includes an ergonomic buttstock, pistol grip, and Mil-Spec bolt carrier group. Designed for tactical, defensive, and shooting sports use, it draws from military designs like SOPMOD, offering accuracy and reliability.
