The Real Deal Airsoft Hop Chamber Shims The purpose of this product is to be able to precisely achieve the Perfect Nozzle to Bucking engagement without having to open your gearbox. All too often manufacturers make parts off spec, and you purchase a certain nozzle you have always used, to come to find that your having miss feeding issues and fps problems. Odds are your nozzle to bucking relationship is not perfect , and there’s a high likelihood that in fact, your nozzle is too long and is crushing your bucking lips. How to determine if you have perfect nozzle to bucking engagement With your gearbox closed, tappet plate under spring tension, and nozzle in the most forward position, before a shot was ever fired, take your assembled hop chamber and press it up against your gearbox with the nozzle entering the chamber. I often turn the hop chamber sideways so I can easily see the nozzle entering the chamber. If your nozzle touches the bucking lips BEFORE the hop chamber is fully seated against the gearbox, and as you press the hop chamber against the gearbox, if you can feel that your now pushing the nozzle and tappet plate back by pressing the hop chamber firmly against the gearbox… then your nozzle is too long. This can be fixed by using a shorter nozzle or by using one of the Real Deal Airsoft Hop Chamber shim, to create that perfect spacing to achieve a perfect nozzle to bucking engagement. What is a perfect nozzle to bucking relationship? When you are able to fully seat your hop chamber against your gearbox and your nozzle is touching the bucking lips and you are not feeling any resistance of the tappet return spring and you fully seat the hop chamber. How to use Real Deal Hop Chamber Shims Simply place a shim of your desired thickness on the face of the hop chamber and observe your nozzle to bucking relationship.
