The compensator is integral to the barrel which the front sight is mounted to. A typical slide would have the front sight mounted to it and move as you fire. To enhance sight acquisition, the Quasa mounts the sight to the barrel/compensator instead. As you fire, the slide will move and the front sight will stay stationary, giving you the fastest acquisition and give you an easier time finding your sight picture in rapid shooting. Another key feature to the Quasa is the ability to mount a Bravo Combat Dot or similar red dot sights without modification. Just use an Echo1 Optic Mounting Plate and it will interface directly to the slide/blowback housing.
