The latest addition to the VFC GBBR AK lineup. The AKS-74U is the compact carbine variant of the Soviet AK-74 rifle. VFC have done a fabulous job recreating this iconic rifle, with highly detailed period-correct production markings and real steel spec external furniture. Adjustable NPAS nozzle system pre installed. it sports a CNC machined integrated steel bolt carrier, for maximum recoil, durability and realism. The bolt also features an adjustable travel setting; long stroke (full travel) for simulation and short stroke for an increased rate of fire. As you would expect, the lower receiver is a full steel composition, giving the replica a hefty weight and realistic feel. Full steel fire control group with braided wire hammer spring and cycle rate reducer. Easy disassembly hop-up unit design, with VSR spec hop-up bucking and inner barrel, allowing for easy upgrades. Essentially all parts on the AKS are metal, including the folding stock, top cover and sights, outer barrel, front sight, flash hider, trigger and trigger guard. The plum coloured magazine is sensational looking, with a 42rd capacity and 388g weight. Last round fired click indicator. Also features a dry firing mode. The handguard is real wood with a beautiful finish. Safe, semi and fully automatic models, with full gas blowback, cycling the bolt on every shot. Adjustable NPAS installed .
