Novritsch's SSR-4 Gen 2 is an upgraded version of their original SSR-4 M4/AR-15 style AEG. It is available in two variations, one with a full metal receiver and the other with a lightweight polymer receiver. The SSR-4 is primarily designed with new Airsoft players in mind, offering an easily accessible M4/AR-15 style electric Airsoft rifle. Out of the box, the gun comes pre-upgraded with the new Gen 2 internals, providing performance comparable to more expensive custom builds. Its exterior is simple yet modular, featuring Picatinny rails and M-LOK slots for attaching various accessories. Additionally, the gun includes QD sling points for convenient sling attachment. With a 14mm CCW thread, users can mount muzzle attachments like tracer units or suppressors to enhance the gun's tactical appearance. Internally, the Gen 2 version of the SSR-4 boasts reinforced CNC high-speed gears with a 16:1 ratio and a high-torque motor. This combination enables rapid-fire and quick follow-up shots, especially when using 11.1v batteries. The gun comes equipped with a 6.03 precision barrel and a MAX-style rotary hop-up for improved accuracy. Additionally, the Gen 2 reinforced gearbox features a quick-spring change system, allowing for easy swapping of springs to comply with different field FPS limits. An allen key is provided for this purpose. Notably, the gun is powered by a programmable electronic trigger unit (ETU), enabling users to customize the firing mode, including burst and binary options, to suit their preferences.
